Handaa Enkh-Amgalan is a humanitarian & development professional with global experiences in Mongolia, Bulgaria, Poland, Uganda, and the United States. Her specialties include policy analysis and research, program evaluation, and strategic communications. She currently works as the Policy & Budget Officer at the International Rescue Committee based in New York, focusing on refugee empowerment programs globally. Handaa has been awarded public service fellowships from the prestigious New York City Urban Fellows Program and the New York City Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity.
Handaa has recently authored a creative nonfiction book called Stigmatized that shares her journey battling Tuberculosis, the associated stigma, and how her various identities inspired her to combine storytelling with activism for social change. Handaa holds a Master’s degree from New York University in public policy and a Bachelor’s in economics from East Tennessee State University.
Handaa currently resides in New York City, USA. She is originally from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
